Cannot Trace Server-to-Server Modules in TSO Test Facility

Issue/Introduction

Get the following linkedit error when installing with trace a module with pstep use statement(s):

IEW2456E 9207 SYMBOL TIRPUSE UNRESOLVED MEMBER COULD NOT BE INCLUDED FROM THE DESIGNATED CALL LIBRARY.

Cause

When installing for trace, CA Gen link process imports TIRARUNT which does not contain the module TIRPUSE (by design).  This module is needed when the pstep-use statement is contained in a module.  When installing without trace, Gen imports TIRARUNC (CICS) or TIRARUNI (IMS) and they both contain TIRPUSE.

Resolution

By design, cannot trace server-to-server modules using the TSO Test Facility.  Use DTF (Diagram Trace Facility) in CICS to trace.
