Can a User Story in Progress have a task in 'completed' status

Issue/Introduction

User has a User Story that contains 1 task that is in 'completed' status, yet the User Story is still 'in progress'. Is this possible?

Resolution

If you set the task to 'complete', the the Defect or User Story will become 'complete' but you can manually change the State of the User Story to 'In Progress' so now you would have a User Story 'In Progress' and a task that is 'complete'.
