When a user (a resource manager, for example) attempts to view the properties page of a Staff member in CA Project & Portfolio Management (PPM), they encounter an error message and are unable to view the page. The error message displayed is
"Error 401 - Unauthorized. You are not authorized to view the page. If you are sure you have access, try logging in again or contact your system administrator"
Steps to Reproduce
Expected Results:
The user is shown the properties page for a resource.
Actual Results:
The user is not shown the properties page for the resource and instead receives the "Error 401 - Unauthorized appears followed by "Error Error 401 - Unauthorized. You are not authorized to view the page. If you are sure you have access, try logging in again or contact your system administrator".
This is caused by defect DE34161
This defect is fixed as of CA PPM 15.1 Patch 7, 15.2 Patch 2 and 15.3.
Workaround
Add the global access right Project - View Management - All to the user that needs to view the properties of the resource.
