Sometimes, it may occur that the card reader already working on a computer may start failing or not responding after the installation of the Client Automation Remote Control Plugin. The cause of this problem is that Client Automation also installs a Smart Card Reader driver that can conflict with the existing one. This situation is specially critical when occurring on devices like ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) as they depend on the card readers to perform their regular operations.

Although the installation of the "CA IT Client Manager r12 Smart Card Reader" cannot be avoided at install time, it can be removed after the installation by running the following command on a DOS prompt window run as Administrator:
