Issue/Introduction

This article outlines the licensing prerequisites for utilizing specific Identity Manager endpoints that require the API Gateway (Layer 7). It clarifies whether the API Gateway is included within the standard Identity Suite licensing.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.x & 15

Cause

API Gateway is a separately licensed product from the Identity Suite. Accessing specific endpoints—including Service Now, Microsoft Azure, Zendesk, Google Apps (V2), and Box Connectors—requires a valid, independent entitlement for the API Gateway.

Resolution

The API Gateway (Layer 7) is not included in the standard Identity Suite license by default.

1. Review your current software entitlement agreement to verify if API Gateway is already included.
2. If you require access to these connectors, contact your account representative to discuss acquisition options.
