We are trying to promote more than 9000 items and getting below error.

What is the cause?

Environment

CA 2E 8.7 and higher with Implementer

Resolution

Your will have to break this request down into pieces.
The limit for items on a promotion request is 9999. But in the case of 2E, that number is reduced by more than half, as there is at least one traditional item for every 2E surrogate item.
