Moving Package records between Endevor Instances

Issue/Introduction

Decommissioning one of our Endevor instances. We have successfully moved all of the systems to the new Endevor instance.

Is there a procedure for moving the package information from the old Endevor instance to the new Endevor instance.

Resolution

Steps to merging two Endevor Package Datasets -

1. Most importaint - always make sure you have backups of the package files before starting. 
2. Clean up both files by using the Archive Package action with the option to delete. 
3. Create a new package file by using BC1JJB05 utility located int he Endevor CSIQJCL libarary 
4. Use the UNLOAD/RELOAD pacakge program C1BM5000 to perform the unload and then the reload. 
5. The unload action will need to use the C1DEFLTS of the Endevor with the old PCF's resides 
6. The RELOAD action will need to use the C1DEFLTS from where the new PCF is defined
7. Run the package Summary report CONRPT70 to validate that the file is operational 

Remember that no packages can be executed until the merger of the two Endevor files have bee completed.
