Issue/Introduction

Having installed r20 CA Database Management Solutions for IMS for z/OS we now appear to be invoking CA Mainframe Extended Terminal Manager.

IDI6040I THE ETMPPUEZ MODULE HAS BEEN LOADED.

How can we disable ETM?

Environment

Release:
Component: CMPIMS

Resolution

By installing the CA Database Management Solution for IMS suite of products, you will have also installed CA ETM. However as ETM has not been activated this is the informational message you can expect to see.

IDI6040I THE ETMPPUEZ MODULE HAS BEEN LOADED.
ETM7814I - ETM NOT ACTIVE IMS8

The first message confirms that ETM has been installed and is present in your CIMTLOAD, the second message reports that ETM has not been activated.

So these messages are correct and can be ignored, ETM is not activated.
