How to stop a CA SOLVE:FTS Transmission due to a network error on a z/OS System ?.

Environment

Release:
Component: SFTS

Resolution

You can Hold a transmission from the Transmission Request List or have it completely stopped in its tracks by doing a LINK STOP.

LINK STOP followed by LINK RESET and then LINK START when the path is OK would recycle the failing link.

TCPIP STOP would stop all links and any TN3270 sessions and other TCP/IP functionality and is not recommended.

Another option is to inactivate the related FTS Initiators to stop transmissions on the failing link.
