After the upgrade to Spectrum 10.2.1, the next day SpectroServer crashed with the following "SPC-OCP-10048" error:
From the crash dump analyze it is showing that some "Telindus 1421 modems" sent malformed data, as showing from the following entry in a packet capture ...
"[Expert Info (Warning/Malformed): BER Error: too many bytes in Sequence]"
After updating to the latest firmware on all the devices, the issue did not happen since.
To be sure we prevent the SpectroServer crash in the future, the SE team informed that it is planned to change the code for the next Spectrum release of version 10.3 (scheduled second half 2017). Spectrum will then ignore if data is longer than expected, not parsing the too long data and log a comment.
