Summary tasks that are Milestones do not Export as Milestones in MSP

Issue/Introduction

When opening a project from PPM to Microsoft Project (MSP), summary tasks that are milestones due not export as milestones

Steps to Reproduce:

1. In MSP, create a new project with two tasks

2. Make the first task a milestone and also a parent task of the second task

3. Save the project to PPM and then Open the project in MSP (Do this step twice if using the new driver. For the legacy driver, the issue occurs after doing this step one time)

Expected Results: The summary task remains as a milestone

Actual Results: The summary task is no longer a milestone

Environment

Applies to all supported PAS environments.

Cause

This is due to current design of PPM

Resolution

This is working as designed. PPM does not allow summary tasks to be milestones. To request an enhancement to change this behavior, we encourage you to submit an idea from our Communities site.
