Sessions are freezing when we resize the ssh client window

Issue/Introduction

Customer has got CA PAM 2.8.2 and he is opening a putty terminal to a remote linux/unix device

Once the connection is established, he tries to resize the window, but on trying to resize it, the window freezes. If there are several connections open, all of them freeze and it is necessary to close all windows forcibly in order to recover normality

Resolution

This is a defect, DE288908, which has been corrected in CA PAM 2.8.2, patch 05

However, if applying this patch is not possible, the problem can be worked around by unchecking the visual effect "Show window contents while dragging" is checked on the Windows host where the client is running, described e.g. here how to do it :
