Accessing a report on tape sometimes returns code STC_LogicError Web Viewer 12.1

Issue/Introduction

When accessing larger archived reports, the following error message may be displayed:

Error: Error occurs!! OmDRASRequestOpenRequest in JDrasRecordset. Select failed because of return code STC_LogicError.

 

 

Environment

• Output Management Web Viewer 12.1
• OM View®
• DRAS

Cause

A data request to View (DRAS_DistributeTable) under some circumstances (when using EAS and all archived data is on Virtual Tape, for instance), can take up to a minute to be retrieved by OM View – though it taking more than 30 seconds is very rare.

Resolution

Set the Admin Remote Timeout value set to 90 seconds
