Issue/Introduction

Working on creating a new 12.1 environment. Our 11.5 environment is configured with GENERIC User. Can I migrate FAVORITES that users have setup on 11.5 over to 12.1. I have run DVWEB_MigrationTool_Console_mode and the only Users that downloaded were the GENERIC ID.

On 11.5, where are the users FAVORITES stored, and can these be migrated?

Cause

Generic users actual userids were not stored in the database in 11.5.

Resolution

The favorites are stored either in the user’s browser or in the database, depending on the type of favorite. However, the architecture is very different starting with 12.1 of Web Viewer and it is not possible to migrate the favorites from v11.5 Web Viewer.

Contact Services.  There is a app available that can extract a list of 11.5 users from any stored audit files.
