Issue/Introduction

What is the 'UPDT DATE' field in a 'LIST ELEMENT' CSV report actually showing?

Resolution

The Endevor Comma Separated (CSV) utility lets you extract MCF information for reporting purposes. For the 'LIST ELEMENT' function, the report will contain an 'UPDT DATE' field in the basic information section and another field in the 'Last action information' part, called 'LAST ACT DATE', which in some cases will differ.

UPDT DATE - Last physical record update date YYYY/MM/DD

While the 'LAST ACT DATE' will show the last element modifying action (like generate or move) and will correspond to the action shown on the 'LAST ACT MOD ELM' field, the 'UPDT DATE' field will record the date of any last action (including SIGNIN and RETRIEVE) and will correspond to the action shown in the 'LAST ACT' field.

If the last action was a RETRIEVE, the LAST ACT DATE will be different than the UPDT DATE. If we display the element master, the 'LAST ELEMENT ACTION' shown on PANEL 1 will not have the date shown on the 'UPDT DATE' field from the CSV because it refers to the last element modifying action.
