Issue/Introduction

Many SMF type 80 records when bringing up Tomcat with Output Management Web Viewer 12.1 and IBM RACF.  How to turn off.

 

Environment

  • Output Management Web Viewer 12.1 for USS
  • Apache Tomcat®
  • IBM RACF

Cause

A user with the UAUDIT attribute set will log ALL successful USS classes, regardless of the AUDIT and LOGOPTIONS.

Resolution

  1.  Ensure that the UAUDIT Attribute is not assigned to the user profile assigned to the Apache Tomcat STC.
  2.  Switch UAUDIT from on to off.
