Getting Error: a value is required for repository type.

Issue/Introduction

For a new install of 12.1 Web Viewer for Windows - Administration - Repository - Create - the mandatory values in the "repository type" drop-down list box are not appearing / can not be selected. The contents remain set to "Select Option..." The repository type tool tip works, but the drop down list is not populated.

Cause

The problem may be with the Windows install using the System Level, External configuration. The WVProfile.properties should have been copied from the application folder to the CAOMWV12_HOME folder before the config tool is run. 

Resolution

Stop the WAS (Tomcat or WebSphere), copy the WVProfile.properties file (from the application folder to the CAOMWV12_HOME folder), run the config tool, restart the WAS and then test. The problem should now be resolved.

Additional Information

The same symptom can be seen from Administration - Role - Create, in the "Role type" drop down list box.
