Smaller than recommended block size on partition on xfs filesystem

Issue/Introduction

Didn't notice until after Vertica was installed that the block size on the data, catalog partition is lower than recommended, 512 instead of  4096. I'm wondering how major of a concern it is, and how to fix.

Dx NetOps Performance Management any version

Resolution

Vertica recommends that the disk block size be 4096 bytes, which is generally the default.  The disk block size is set when you format your file system. Changing the block size requires a re-format.
