Issue/Introduction

S30A abend may occur after MANT task terminates with U2700

 

Cause

The S30A is from a FREEMAIN generated by a FREEPOOL macro.  This FREEPOOL is executed for a file never opened (because the dynamic allocation failed).  The programmer checked for the file being open and bypassed the CLOSE but not the FREEPOOL.

Resolution

The MANT task should bypass executing the FREEPOOL macro if the Purge and Report files are not open.  This is corrected by PTF RO36794.
