CA SymDump for CICS CA SymDump Batch

Issue/Introduction

The client just upgraded to CA Symdump for CICS r 9.1 from R 8.5.  When the client tries to start CA Symdump CICS at PLTPI time they receive message PLT program IN25INST abended with code AEI0. Reply GO or CANCEL. CA Symdump CICS fails to start and the SYMD transaction does not display the Primary option panel.

Cause

The client migrated the correct CA Symdump for CICS r 9.1 RDO entries for CTS 4.1 to the DFHCSD file. The RDO entries are located in install PDS HLQ.CABAJCL(CSDSYM66) but the client DID NOT COLD START the CICS region. They did an emergency restart so the old RDO entries from the previous release 8.5 were still being used.

Resolution

After upgrading to the new release level of CA Symdump CICS migrate the CA Symdump for CICS  r 9.1 RDO entries for CTS 4.1 to the DFHCSD file PDS HLQ.CABAJCL(CSDSYM66) and COLD START the CICS region. You should see the messages in the CICS startup output that the r 9.1 table entries were installed.
