Issue/Introduction

Spectrum OneClick custom menu to launch browser fails. The browser is not launched as expected.

Cause

Possible issue with special characters in the url to be launched or default browser is not set

Resolution

Check for special characters in the url to be launched in the custom-menu-config.xml file. If there are any special characters, replace the special character(s) with the associated URL Encoded Characters.
For example, if the url contains a caret "^" symbol, replace it with "%5E".

And be sure that the client operating system has a default browser set.
