Issue/Introduction

This document describes which subschemas should be used for running the IDMSDBAN utility against an SQL catalog.

An IDMS SQL catalog segment is just another (network-defined) IDMS database and as such, IDMSDBAN can be used to validate its integrity.

Environment

Releases: All supported releases.

Resolution

Two separate executions of IDMSDBAN must be run because two subschemas are involved.

• For processing the DDLCAT and DDLCATX areas, use SUBSCHEMA IDMSCATZ in the PROCESS statement.
• For processing the DDLCATLOD area, use SUBSCHEMA IDMSCATL in the PROCESS statement.
