Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

If a CA Deliver database (a database of only definitions) shows a high-percentage usage, decisions on Report cleanup can be made from information culled from the product utilities, for those Reports found to be old, unused, or obsolete.

Instructions:

 - See what RMOPARM HDETAIL=... is in use.

 - If HDETAIL=NO, move on to the next section.

 - If HDETAIL=YES, Deliver utility RMOGRW can be used to create a report to show when reports were last processed.

 - In CA View, run program ADLIST.

 - ADLIST output will contain a "Last Browsed" date field, which could be used in possibly identifying old reports.

Additional Information:

 - For more information on Deliver utility RMOGRW, please consult the CA Deliver Reference Guide, in the Utilities chapter.

 - For more information on View and ADLIST, please consult the CA View Programming Guide.

Resolution

Execute RMOGRW to OUTPUT report-ids and job-ids to a flat file; which does not have any basic history records for the last xxx days.

Then execute RMODBB against that flat file with 'D' for Delete function.
