Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

CA Transaction Manager provides reporting capabilities via the TM Administration Console. CA Transaction Manager Access Control Server (ACS) logs the Verify Enrollment Requests (VEReq) from the Directory Server (DS) and its corresponding response (VERes) in the “Verify Enrollment Log” report.

Question:

The VELog report currently shows only a VERes status of Y. I do not get a list of all requests that had a VERes of N. How can this be enabled?

Environment:

CA Transaction Manager v7.5.x On-premise or In-house customers.

Answer:

By default, the product is set to log the VERes only for enrolled cards. In other words, the report would only log VERes of “Y”. This is as per design to optimize logging and resource management.

If it is required to log transactions for which a VERes of “N” is sent, this configuration needs to be enabled. In order to enable this feature, the value of the field “VELOG” in the “ARBRANDINFO” table needs to be set to ‘1’. By default, this field will be sent to the value “0”.

Additional Information:

It is recommended to modify this configuration using a DB query than using the “Update FI Information” option in the TM admin console.
