Why am I receiving the error CAY6A019E RESOLUTION PROCESSOR ERROR when using the JCLCheck "Resolve External Variables" feature with CA 7?

 

 

Resolution

The CAY6A019E RESOLUTION PROCESSOR ERROR is received when there is a connectivity or access problem with the CA 7 instance that JCLCheck is accessing.  Additional messages and RC follow the CAY6A019E message.  These errors are coming from the values specified in the RESPARMS. 

Error message:

- CAY6A019E RESOLUTION PROCESSOR ERROR; FUNCTION=INIT, RC=0008, MESG=CA 7 RETURNED WITHOUT BUFFER: /DISPLAY,ST=JCLVAR

The INSTANCE=nnnn value in the RESPARMS cannot be accessed by JCLCheck.   Verify the RNAME in the CA 7  INIT deck is the same.

 

- CAY6A019E RESOLUTION PROCESSOR ERROR; FUNCTION=INIT, RC=0008, MESG=CA 7 BUFFER DOES NOT CONTAIN: W_JCLLIB.

The W_JCLLIB=nnn  value in the RESPARMS cannot be found in the CA 7 INIT deck statement JCL with the INDEX=nnn value.

 

- CAY6A019E RESOLUTION PROCESSOR ERROR; FUNCTION=INIT, RC=0008, MESG=CA 7 AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY ERROR.

The user submitting the JCLCheck RESOLVE job does not access to CA 7 to issue  commands.  The CA 7 commands are /DISPLAY,ST=JCLVAR and LJCK.
