How to unlock an Endevor element if the package no longer exists?

Issue/Introduction

An element in Endevor was moved via a package PKG06092001D but it locked the element with a package id of KG06092001D.

The package was committed in 2001. However, since the lock was for package KG06092001D, it never unlocked the element when package PKG06092001D was committed. 

How can the element be unlocked?

 

Environment

Release:  18.0  18.1
Component: Endevor SCM

Resolution

1) Build a new Standard type package to Retrieve the locked element.

2) Cast, Approve, and Execute the package;

The new package action will automatically unlock the element from the old package and lock it under the new package.
