Issue/Introduction

Some Datacom SQL z/OS PTFs have ++HOLD with REASON(SQLBIND) which says that the DBSRFPR SQL Rebind Facility utility can be used to rebind SQL Plans.

What action should be taken when running in a Datacom/AD For Ideal for DB2 environment?

Ideal For DB2 ( all versions)

Datacom/AD ( all versions)

Cause

Ideal for DB2 does not involve any Datacom SQL plans.

Resolution

Any Datacom PTF with REASON(SQLBIND) can be applied with SMP/e added phrase to BYPASS: 

BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM(ACTION(SQLBIND(ptfnumber))).
