Issue/Introduction

On 1 Virtual Machine running Windows Server 2016 with Robot version 7.91, the CDM Probe doesn't run properly. 

In the UIM IM Console, no Address or Port/PID is being displayed. 

Other identical Servers don't have issues with the CDM probe v6.00 

The cdm.log shows:

 Controller: Max. restarts reached for probe 'cdm' (command = cdm.exe)

 

Environment

UIM 8.51 Robot 7.91CDM 6.00 Tried older versions of CDM Probe (5.80, 5.72, 5.70) Tried older version robot, 7.90 and 7.80HF22 Reinstalled Robot 7.91 and CDM 6.00

Cause

 When checking Windows Event Viewer for any errors related to cdm.exe or other UIM probes showed:

Resolution

Remove installations of vs2008_redist_x64 and vs2010sp1_vcredist_x64 if present.

Uninstall the UIM robot.  
Install the UIM robot.
Redeploy the cdm probe.
