In Spectrum OneClick, Preferences set on Group do not seem to take effect on all the Users within the Group. Some users inherit the Group Preferences and some do not. If a new User is created within the Group, the new User will inherit the Preferences from the Group.
NetOps Spectrum:
All current versions
The User has saved their Preferences to their User model. When this occurs, the User saved Preferences take precedence over the Group Preferences.
A User can be forced to inherit the Group Preferences by doing the following:
1. Log into OneClick as an ADMIN user with privileges to the Users tab
2. Find and select the User model
3. Right mouse click on the User model and select Set Preferences from the menu
4. In the Set Preferences view, click on the Reset Defaults button, then the Apply button and then the OK button
The User should now inherit the Preferences from the Group
The User can also be prevented from changing the Group Preferences by locking the Preferences at the Group. To lock the Group Preferences so the User cannot change them:
1. Log into OneClick as an ADMIN user with privileges to the Users tab
2. Find and select the Group model
3. Right mouse click on the Group model and select Set Preferences from the menu
4. In the Set Preferences view, set the Preferences as desired. For each of the Preferences you wish to lock, check the check box in the Locked column. Click the Apply and then the OK button when done.
For more information on configuring preferences, please reference "Setting Preferences for Users and Groups" in the documentation.
