CA Datacom/AD SQLBIND needed for CA-11 usage ?

Issue/Introduction

Some CA Datacom SQL z/OS PTFs have ++HOLD with REASON(SQLBIND) which says that the DBSRFPR SQL Rebind Facility utility can be used to rebind SQL Plans. 

What action to I need to take for CA Workload Automation Restart Option for z/OS Schedulers CA-11 use of Datacom/AD?

Resolution

Since the CA-11 application use of CA Datacom/AD does not involve any Datacom SQL plans, there is no need to take any action.

However, any PTF with ++HOLD with REASON(SQLBIND) can be applied with SMP/e added phrase to BYPASS: 

 

       BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM(ACTION(SQLBIND(ptfnumber))).

Additional Information

The same is true for any Datacom SQL application that does not involve SQL plans or if application plan does not fix the specific PTF problem description.
