Issue/Introduction

When you integrate the UIM with Spectrum and Import the device from Spectrum to the snmpcollector probe the community string added on the front of the community the characters #v2/

Environment

UIM 8.51Spectum 10.2.1Snmpcollector 3.31spectrumgtw 8.6 version

Cause

When discovery a network device on the Spectrum with community string on a v2C, the spectrum will store the community string like this:

Spectrum string.png

The community string is the word "private" but Spectrum keeps the community version in front of the word.

When you look the profiles on the snmpcollector you can see the device is added but the community string is wrong, as you can see the yellow warning signal:

Error on the snmpcollector.png

If you do the community check on the probe snmpcollector you can see the community failure:

If you go to the snmpcollector database you will see the community is stored like #v2/private and should be just private:

Resolution

This is resolved by deploying a hotfix, spectrumgtw-8.6.1-HF1 which can be found at the UIM Hotfix Index Site.
