I have already created a CUSLIB and CUSMAC from a previous installation of Datacom/AD. Can I skip that part of the installation?

If you are building a new Multi-User Facility (called MUF), then we recommend that you start with job AXCUS00 or BDCUS00 to create a new INSTJCL PDS that is specific to the new MUF. Then, you should also be sure to use a unique name for the MUF/CXX, which is then incorporated into all the files created - the operational files like the loadlibs and control card/macro files, and the database files for this MUF.
The only files that can be shared between MUFs are the files with the last node of CAAX* or CABD* (CAAXLOAD, CAAXMAC, CABDLOAD, CABDMAC, etc.). All other files need to be created and used for each MUF, and so they need a unique name.
An easy way to remember this is that no names and no files should be shared between MUFs except for the SMP/E target files. If every MUF has its own set of files and a unique CXX/MUF name, confusion and problems that could result from sharing are minimized or eliminated.
As always, please contact Broadcom support for Datacom if you have further questions.
