Issue/Introduction

We are currently using Librarian but want to know if it is possible to use CONWRITE to expand -INC statements or does one have to incorporate ENBX1000 into our Endevor Processors?

Resolution

CONWRITE can be used to expand -INC statements where the members reside in either PDS or PDSE libraries.

To accomplish this, the C1DEFLT table must be define as follows:

LIBENV=LB            LIBRARIAN (LB), PANVALET (PV)
LIBENVP=N,           LIBRARIAN/PANVALET OPTION
LIBRPGM=XYZ,         LIBRARIAN BATCH PROGRAM NAME

The LIBRARIAN batch program names needs to be filled in but does not have to represent a real program name.

The CONWRITE step in your processor should be coded similarly to:

//WRITE    EXEC PGM=CONWRITE,PARM='EXPINCL(Y)'
//C1INCL01 DD  DSN=IPRFIX. IQUAL.COPYLIB,DISP=SHR
//ELMOUT   DD  DSN=&&TEMPFILE,DISP=OLD
