Issue/Introduction

DESCRIPTION:

When installing CA SDM cumulative patches, the web forms do not update.

Most CA SDM cumulative patches are divided into language independent patches (updating mostly binary executable files) and language specific patches (mainly web forms).

After the install of a cumulative patch, it is noticed that the file date stamps for the binary files are all updated, but the web forms (htmpl forms) remain at their original state/date.

Environment

Release: SDM All Supported versions.
Component: Cumulative patch

Resolution

The reason why the web forms may not be updating is that the htmpl web forms in NX_ROOT\bopcfg are updated/generated when CA SDM configuration (pdm_configure) is executed.

CA SDM configuration is a necessary step to the cumulative patch install process. Without the CA SDM configuration, the web forms will remain in their pre-patched state and any issues that would be addressed by the cumulative patch will continue to occur.
