Issue/Introduction

After creating a custom Model Type in Spectrum, the discovery process does not select the custom Model Type when modeling the device.  Spectrum models the device with the default model_type.

Cause

The SysOIDVerifyList attribute 0x12910 and/or Disposable_Precedence attribute 0x114e2 are not set correctly for the custom Model Type.

Resolution

Verify the SysOIDVerifyList attribute 0x12910 and Disposable_Precedence attribute 0x114e2 are set correctly for the custom Model Type.

The SysOIDVerifyList needs to contain the system object id (sysoid) of the device.  The Disposable_Precedence of your custom modeltype needs to be higher than the Disposable_Precedence value on the default modeltype.  Out of the box, most Spectrum modeltypes have a Disposable_Precedence of 10.  Set your custom modeltype to 12 or 15.

Please reference the "Map Using Unique sysObjectID Value" section of the "Spectrum Certification User Guide" for more information on setting the SysOIDVerifyList attribute 0x12910 and Disposable_Precedence addtirbute 0x114e2 values for a custom Model Type.
