The CICS region hangs during a debugging session using CA InterTest for CICS release 9.1.

Issue/Introduction

While an application programmer was attempting to debug a large application program, the CICS region hung and needed to be recycled. 

Environment

InterTest for CICS 9.1, CTS 4.1.

Cause

The EDSALIM was too small.  For CTS/TS 4.1, the default is 34M, this region was set at 42M. 

Resolution

Increase the EDSALIM.  The recommendation was to increase it to 90M which resolved the problem.
