Issue/Introduction

The records of hardware compressed data sets are backed up in uncompressed (expanded) format so they occupy more space even Disk software based compression is applied. 

Resolution

To reduce the archive size, you can instruct Disk to read track images of hardware compressed data sets by specifying "*" or "HWCOMPR" for sysparm USEDSSIO.
