Issue/Introduction

When applying CA Endevor maintenance using the SCM8APYP job, getting a bunch of GIM30209E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED  errors:

GIM30209E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD RO91535. REQUIRED SYSMODS FAILED OR WERE MISSING.

GIM35951I    PREREQUISITE SYSMOD RO91813 WAS MISSING. SYSMOD RO94676 WOULD HAVE SUPERSEDED RO91813, BUT HAS FAILED.

GIM30209E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD RO92730. REQUIRED SYSMODS FAILED OR WERE MISSING.

GIM35907I    PREREQUISITE SYSMOD RO92892 FAILED.

Environment

Release:
Component: ENDBAS

Cause

The reason the PTF identified in the GIM30209E error message failed to apply is explained in the messages that follow.

A GIM35951I message identifies the pre-req PTF that has not been applied and that it would have been superseded by another PTF but that PTF failed to apply.

A GIM35907I message identifies a pre-req that failed to apply.

A GIM35904I message identifies a pre-req that is missing.

Resolution

Download from CA Support Online all the PREREQUISITE SYSMOD PTFs identified in the GIM35951I and GIM35904I messages.

Note: Even the PTFs identified in the GIM35951I messages that have been superseded by another PTF need to be downloaded and applied.
