When upgraded from DCIM to Ecometer_monitor 5.01 but now all of the setup we had is missing - How do we get it back?

Issue/Introduction

After doing the upgrade from DCIM to ecometer_monitor 5.01 we went into the UMP console for ecometer and none of our setup is there.

How to we get all of the setup done in DCIM back into the new ecometer monitor?

Environment

Ecometer probe any version

UIM 9.2 or 20.1

Cause

The Configuration files from DCIM are not compatible with ecometer_monitor 5.01

 

Resolution

1) deactivate the ecometer_monitor probe

2) Copy <resources> section from dcim.cfg to ecometer_monitor.cfg with replace
(This should be done as I did this on our last webex to try and correct this issue. But please verify)

3) Delete everything except
gateway.xml,
vendors_productlines_models.xlsx,
WmiClassVariables.xml
from “Nimsoft\probes\application\ecometer_monitor\conf\gateway” directory


4) Copy everything except
gateway.xml,
vendors_productlines_models.xlsx,
WmiClassVariables.xml

from “\Nimsoft\probes\application\dcim\conf\gateway” directory

to “Nimsoft\probes\application\ecometer_monitor\conf\gateway”

5) Activate ecometer_monitor probe

6) Check the setup in ump
