Issue/Introduction

How to retain the previous configuration when upgrading.  Using RSTOBJ or transferring it as a binary SAVFILE was not successful.

XCOM™ Data Transport® for AS/400 i5/OS  IBM i

Resolution

Yes. For example:

  • Restore to file XCOM2/XCOMOLDCFG.
  • Then use the command 
    CPYF FROMFILE(XCOM2/XCOMOLDCFG) TOFILE(XCOM2/XCOMCNFG)FROMMBR(XCOMCNFG) TOMBR(XCOMCNFG) MBROPT(*REPLACE)FMTOPT(*MAP)
