Issue/Introduction
This article describes the main points of the life of task session objects.
Environment
Release:
Component: IDMGR
Resolution
- A new task session is created for each and every task even if the user stays logged in and moves from one task to the next.
- All task session information is stored in the TP database.
- If the system is shutdown and restarted, the in-progress task sessions in the TP database are resurrected.
- All java IM task objects remain in memory until the tasks are finished running even if the user logs out.
- The jvm is responsible for removing completed tasks, therefore finished tasks may remain in memory until standard jvm garbage collection removes them.
