We are currently having an issue due to a mainframe DR exercise where we normally do not run any distributed jobs. What happened is when ESP on the DR system was restarted (unquiesced), distributed jobs that were in the queue took off and started executing on our production ESP agents. Our normal process is to remove all the agents in what we call AAGENTDF and then ESP is started up. When ESP came up we see these errors and it looks like AAGENTDF was named AAGENDDF and ESP was looking for AAGENTDF which had all the agents removed.
ESPA218E MEMBER 'AAGENTDF' NOT FOUND IN DATA SET SYSAU.CAESP.SYSA.PARMLIB
ESPA219E Above error occurred opening Agent Definition Table
in this case the LOADAGDF command failed and defaulted to the contents of the COMMQ file so the workload started to execute on the PROD system.
Make sure to clean up the commq file before restarting ESP by starting ESP with a CQFORMAT.
