Issue/Introduction

During the installation of the System Agent on an i5 server, the following error appears:

Java¬13|: /QSYS.LIB/QJVATOOLS.PGM: 0403-006 Execute permission denied.

 

 

 

Environment

System Agent 11.3 SP7 on i5/OS release 7.1

Cause

Syntax error when running the 'java -jar setup.jar' command. 

 

 

 

 

Resolution

run:         java -jar setup.jar  

and not:  Java -jar setup.jar 

Even if there was no permission issue on IBM program QSYS/QJVATOOLS, this typo error was the root cause this error.
