Issue/Introduction
When an alarm is generated and sent to the AlarmNotifier, the event associated with the alarm may not be logged in the Archive Manager DDM database. These are the instructions to get AlarmNotifier to wait longer for a logged event to show up in the Archive Manager database.
Environment
Release: ANY:
Resolution
1. Edit the $SPECROOT/SS/DDM/.configrc file
2. Add the following line:
MAX_EVENT_ID_REQUEST_TIMEOUT= 60
3. Save the change
4. Restart the Archive Manager process for the change to take effect

SpectroSERVER automatically disconnecting the probe
When the total time taken by archive manager to retrieve events exceeds the time set in the
MAX_EVENT_ID_REQUEST_TIMEOUT field on SpectroSERVER, SpectroSERVER will disconnect the probe,
but will not inform the probe that it has been disconnected. The probe will fail to retrieve any further
events from SpectroSERVER until you manually restart the probe.
