Issue/Introduction

Cannot export a large report 

What is the default for export pages in OM Webviewer to excel? Our current settings are "ENABLE" without a page limit. The most we can export at a

time is 29 pages. When I increased the limit to 1000 pages, the product appeared to work for a minute then stopped.

Cause

There is no page limit when exporting a report with page breaks unless you set a limit. This can cause problems if you have not set a limit.

 

Resolution

If you are exporting, and you have a file without page breaks, you will receive a message asking you to save it after it reaches 5000 lines and export it. 

To set a page limit on reports with page breaks to avoid hangs, log onto the admin tool and update:

User properties->UserActions->Exporting

â–  Disable – The action will not be available for reports.

â–  Enable – The action will be available for reports.   There is no limit specified, not recommended.  

â–  Enable with page limit – The action will be available for reports.  Recommended
