Issue/Introduction
CA Jobtrac Job Management ADR feature does not capture the creation of a file created on a system that shares the same system catalog. How should you correct this?
Environment
Release: Component: JOBTRC
Resolution
There are 3 prerequisites that need to occur for the dataset to be monitored by Automatic Dataset Recognition (ADR) feature:
CA Jobtrac JM will need to be running on all systems for which you require datasets to be monitored.
If "CPU:" is defined in the ADR table, ADR will only monitor the creation of the file on the CPU defined in the "CPU:" field. A best practice would be to leave "CPU:" blank in the ADR definition so that the creation of the file will be recognized on all systems.
SMF record types 15 must be recorded on the system where the dataset is created.
