Issue/Introduction

Identity Manager provisioning public, inbound administrator, and outbound administrator accounts are system-generated roles. These accounts are utilized by the Management Console for task delegation but do not require individual user authentication.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.x

Resolution

1. Understand Account Purpose: These accounts hold administrative roles necessary to grant access for tasks such as "Provisioning Create User" or "Provisioning Modify User."
2. Session Authentication: Tasks triggered by these accounts are performed within the same session that received the request, eliminating the need for manual authentication.
3. Password Management: Because these accounts are not authenticated, they do not require passwords. You may change them if required by security policies, but these changes do not affect Identity Manager functionality, and no internal updates are required to reflect these changes.
