Issue/Introduction

The client noticed that some of their nightly CA DADS Plus for CICS batch jobs fail with a return code 4 with message CSV003I REQUESTED MODULE DFHXCEIX NOT FOUND 

Environment

Z/OS CICS

Cause

The client is using the CA DADS Plus for CICS EXCI high performance option HPO=EXCI in some of the CICS regions. The HPO=EXCI option requires the batch job have access to the load modules located in the CICS.SDFHEXCI load library 

Resolution

As per the CA DADS Plus for CICS user’s Guide chapter 12-6 the client will add the CICS.SDFHEXCI load library to the CA DADS Plus for CICS batch job step. 

5. The Batch Interface request job must specify the CICS.SDFHEXCI load library in its STEPLIB, JOBLIB or MVS LNKLST concatenation.
