Issue/Introduction

When re-running install job JOB06OP1 to change options, received this error
      EZOPT010 SPACE cannot exceed LINESIZ - 2

Option file is corrupted.

 

 

Environment

Easytrieve Report Generator, release 11.6

Resolution

After the first run of install job JOB06OP1 to CREATEFILE the ALCOPT= 00 parameter must be changed to ALCOPT = 99.

When ALCOPT=00 is coded, the EZOPTBL file is deleted and the space is reallocated. At that point, the file is just empty space containing random uninitialized values. If an update is attempted on an EZOPTBL in that condition, it may be that the one updated option is set as desired, but the other values remain random and uninitialized.
