Installing PIM agent on windows fails

Issue/Introduction

When setup.exe is executed to install the PIM agent, a dialog box with the message "Install log open fail, Please check the path is exist and has write permission".

Resolution

This was due to an older version of PIM/ControlMinder/Access Control having been installed and then uninstalled on this server. The previous uninstall had left HKLM\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\Shared in the registry. 

This key was deleted using regedit and the install went ahead correctly.
